After pouring, you stopper the bottle with a one-way valve and pump until you hear a click. The pump removes most of the oxygen above the wine, slowing oxidation. Wine still ages — just slower.
A thin needle pierces the cork. As wine pours out, argon — an inert gas heavier than air — fills the space. When you remove the needle, the cork reseals itself. The wine never meets oxygen. Bottles stay drinkable for months.
